Polyurethane Coating with bridging capability

Polyurethane Coating with bridging capability

Product Introduction

Uses:

– The middle layer of resin flooring is a substrate for all types of resin flooring in cases where there is a high possibility of cracks or cracks in the concrete substrate.

– Polyurethane middle layer or self-leveling coating in industrial uses with medium and heavy wear traffic such as assembly halls and warehouses, repair workshops, garages, underground parking lots, loading ramps, airports, hospitals, shopping centers,…

Features/advantages:

– Good mechanical and chemical resistance

– The ability to bridge over concrete cracks

– High elasticity

– Resistant to structural vibration

– Easy to use during installation

– flexible

– Semi-glossy and polished final surface

– Integrated and uniform finished surface

– Anti-slip final surface if needed

– High abrasion resistance

Storage Conditions

If the door is not opened and the original packaging of the factory is not damaged, the product can be stored for 4 months from the date of production in a dry environment at a temperature between 15 and 30 degrees Celsius.

Preparation Substrate

A concrete substrate must first be mechanically prepared by sub or scratch equipment until the surface of the concrete surface, which contains the remaining cement and water and causes alkalinity of the surface (concrete sap) is removed and reaches the open pores of the concrete. Weak points of concrete should be removed and surface defects such as pits, holes, and cracks should be removed. Fix the following. Fill holes, holes, and cracks. For this purpose, you can use polymer repair materials. It should be noted that all the dust on the surface must be removed before applying Basa polymer products, for which it is recommended to use industrial vacuum cleaners with high suction power. At first, the substrate should be coated with one of the base polymer primers.

Before applying the BASADUR® U 304 self-leveling polyurethane coating, it is necessary to apply a primer and, if necessary, repair the cracks and seal the foundation.

Technical Information

Appearance specifications:

Component 1: liquid, colored

Component 2: Liquid, transparent brown

Color selection is possible.

Need for primer:

Use a primer.

Subtitles suitable for the product:

Concrete, mosaic, stone, ceramic, and metal surfaces

packing:

Small packaging

Component 1: 16.7 kg containers

Component 2: 8.3 kg containers

Installation

Before mixing the two components, first, stir component 1. After adding all of Component 2 to Component 1, stir the resulting mixture for about two minutes at a speed of 400 rpm until it is homogeneous. Then add other components such as silica powder to the mixture if necessary based on the type of system required and stir until they reach a continuous state. If you need to use silica powder, make sure that the silica is completely dry to avoid the sudden foaming of BASADUR®-U304 polyurethane coating. To make sure how to stir, pour the resulting mixture into another container and stir. Avoid movements that cause air to enter the mixture while stirring. For mixing, you can use a mechanical mixer with a speed of 300 to 400 rpm.

Description

BASADUR® U 305

Polyurethane| self-leveling cover| Solvent-free| bridging capability

BASADUR® U 305 is a two-component self-leveling polyurethane coating with flexibility and crack-bridging capability. The low and fluid viscosity of this product has made it possible to use the product in a self-leveling manner.

Cracks in concrete are caused by various reasons. Some of these cracks are related to the problems and operational conditions of the concrete structure during the construction and implementation of concrete, and some of the concrete cracks are dependent on the conditions during its operation. Among the main causes of cracks in epoxy flooring after implementation is the cracking of its concrete substrate.

BASADUR® U305 is implemented as the middle layer in the crack-bridging system, which in addition to flexibility and appropriate hardness, has an elongation at break of 200%, which is about 70 times more than Epoxy coatings are common.

The most important feature of the Basador U 305 product is its bridging property that it can prevent cracks from appearing on the surface in the event of a crack in the subfloor, and meet the needs of users who are worried about the cracking of the flooring surface due to cracks in the subfloor.

It is also possible to implement a crack-bridging polyurethane system in subfloors with cracks. After applying the primer, the cracks are filled with Besador U 305 product, and then Besador U 305 is applied as a self-leveling coating on the concrete surface. Another thing that should be considered is that polyurethane is highly sensitive to moisture and if the relative humidity of the environment or the humidity of the substrate is high, there is a possibility of foam formation in the resin flooring.

After applying this product, polyurethane products such as soft polyurethane coating (BASADUR® U 302) can be used as a middle layer. Therefore, it is possible to achieve a flexible and soft or firm and hard surface according to the needs and usage.
