Product Introduction

Uses:
Self-leveling floors, and concrete tops covering heavy wear traffic such as assembly halls and warehouses, repair workshops, garages, underground parking lots, loading ramps, etc.
The anti-slip type of this product is recommended for use in multi-story and underground parking lots, process halls, and wet repairs such as food and beverage industries.

Storage Conditions

The product must be stored in original, unopened, and undamaged sealed packaging in dry conditions at temperatures between +15 °C and +30 °C. In these conditions, the product can be stored for 6 months from the date of production.

Preparation Substrate

First, the concrete substrate must be prepared mechanically and using grinding machines until the surface of the concrete, which contains cement and water residues and causes the surface to become alkaline (concrete syrup), is removed to reach the open pores of the concrete.

Any weak points in concrete and surface imperfections such as holes, cavities, and cracks should be drained and repaired. For this purpose, you can use the BASA repair material.

It should be noted that all dust on the surface must be removed before applying the products. Using industrial vacuum cleaners with high suction power is recommended.

Installation

Before mixing the two parts, stir part A. After adding part B to part A, stir the mixture for 2 minutes at 400 rpm using a drill mixer. While stirring avoid sudden movements that allow air to enter the mixture. Then apply the material on the surface using a wool roller. Consumption of prepared material per square meter is about 100 to 200 grams (depending on floor conditions). Do not keep the mixed material in the bucket for a long time; because the primer will have a very short pot life due to the heat generated by the reaction of the components.

BASADUR® U 302 is a two-component self-leveling polyurethane coating with high flexibility. This product is very smooth and its viscosity is suitable for self-leveling floor covering.

Based on this, BASADUR® U 302 can be used in the production of high-filler loading, and self-leveling systems, and also ingot mortars with the ability to easy installation.

BASADUR® U 302 is the right choice for environments where the flexibility of the flooring and the softness and elasticity of the flooring are important. Among such applications, the following can be mentioned:

  • Polyurethane flooring on metal surfaces
  • Polyurethane material to fill expansion and contraction joints of concrete
  • Polyurethane flooring for warehouses with structural vibration
  • Polyurethane flooring for sports applications

BASADUR® U 302 self-leveling polyurethane coating cures to a glossy surface and its surface is easy to clean. Note that although the installation of polyurethane flooring is very similar to the installation of epoxy flooring, the skill of the contractor team in installing this flooring needs to be more advanced.

One of the most important points that must be considered when installing polyurethane flooring is the high sensitivity of polyurethane material to moisture. Due to the presence of moisture, significant amounts of carbon dioxide gas are produced during a chemical reaction with the polyurethane hardener, and this reaction leads to the foaming phenomenon of polyurethane flooring.

BASADUR® U 302 self-leveling polyurethane coating can be applied as the final layer, after proper surface preparation, on concrete, stone, mosaic, metal, and even old epoxy flooring surfaces. During the installation of polyurethane flooring, if needed, epoxy primer can be used to increase the adhesion of polyurethane flooring.
