Product Introduction

Uses:

Self-leveling flooring, concrete top coat with medium and heavy wear resistance (e.g. assembly halls and warehouses, repair workshops, garages, underground parking lots, loading ramps, airports, hospitals, and shopping centers)

The anti-slip type of this product is recommended for use in multi-story and underground parking lots, process halls, and wet working areas such as food and beverage industries.

Self-leveling polyurethane coating

Storage Conditions

The product must be stored in original, unopened, and undamaged sealed packaging in dry conditions at temperatures between +15 °C and +30 °C. In these conditions, the product can be stored for 4 months from the date of production.

Preparation Substrate

First, the concrete substrate must be prepared mechanically and using grinding machines until the surface of the concrete, which contains cement and water residues and causes the surface to become alkaline (concrete syrup), is removed to reach the open pores of the concrete.

Any weak points in concrete and surface imperfections such as holes, cavities, and cracks should be drained and repaired. For this purpose, you can use the BASA repair material.

It should be noted that all dust on the surface must be removed before applying the products. Using industrial vacuum cleaners with high suction power is recommended.

Installation

Before mixing the two parts, stir part A. After adding part B to part A, stir the mixture for 2 minutes at 400 rpm using a drill mixer. While stirring avoid sudden movements that allow air to enter the mixture. Then apply the material on the surface using a wool roller. Consumption of prepared material per square meter is about 100 to 200 grams (depending on floor conditions). Do not keep the mixed material in the bucket for a long time; because the primer will have a very short pot life due to the heat generated by the reaction of the components.

BASADUR® U 301 is a solvent-free two-component polyurethane coating with good flexibility and at the same time hard. Also, the low viscosity offers the possibility of self-leveling installation and creating a completely leveled surface as the final coating.

One of the characteristics of BASADUR® U301 polyurethane coating, which distinguishes it from epoxy coatings, is its moderate flexibility along with its appropriate hardness.

The use of specialized fillers has established high quality and strength for this product, which, along with flexibility, has optimized this product for general to engineering uses.

One of the features that always encourages customers to buy BASADUR® U 301 is the toughness of this product. The ability to withstand shocks and stresses in industrial places has enhanced the role of this product in spaces with medium and heavy usage. BASADUR® U 301 can be used as the middle layer or base coat of the polyurethane flooring system too. Consumers of this product can use this self-leveling polyurethane coating in different colors, both textured (orange peel) and smooth and polished finishes, according to their needs and tastes.

Although polyurethane coatings are ideal for many applications, these products are very sensitive to moisture. An important point when installing polyurethane flooring is the high sensitivity of this material to the presence of moisture. If moisture is present in the environment, substrate, or additives such as silica sand, this moisture will react with the polyurethane flooring material and will lead to the phenomenon of foaming.
