Preparation Substrate

Substrate Preparations

A concrete substrate must first be prepared mechanically and using grinding equipment until the top surface of the concrete, which contains the remaining cement and water and causes the surface to become alkaline (concrete sap), is removed and penetrates the open pores of the concrete.

Weak points of concrete must be removed and surface defects such as pits, holes, and cracks must be drained and then repaired. For this purpose, you can use the appropriate material for the repair.

It should be noted that all the dust on the surface must be removed before applying the products, for which it is recommended to use industrial vacuum cleaners with high suction power.

MMA Floor Coating| Hard Top Coat

BASADUR® M 501 is the final layer of MMA flooring based on methacrylate resin, which is applied in colored or transparent form as a top coat and protective layer. The main advantages of this coating include high hardness, solvent resistance, excellent mechanical properties, and wear resistance. It should be noted that this product is applied in low thickness (below 500 microns) and its consumption per square meter is 400 to 600 grams.

Protection of methyl methacrylate flooring system is the main role of BASADUR® M 501. Creating an anti-wear layer with high hardness has made it possible to use this product on the surface of decorative floors or with light or medium uses. By preparing this product, you can increase the mechanical properties of the resin flooring system and reduce the possibility of damage to the resin flooring in the long term.

To make resin flooring more effective and durable when exposed to solvents, it is essential to consider its resistance to chemicals and solvents. One of the most important reasons for increasing the use and application of BASADUR® M501 in the resin flooring industry is the ability of this product to increase the resistance of resin flooring against solvents, and it always gives confidence to customers in terms of maintaining its properties.

Due to its short pot life, this two-component product is a fast-curing resin flooring and can be installed in a short period.
