MMA Primer| General

Resin flooring primer based on methacrylate resin (MMA) is a two-component primer that is made from the combination of two components of methyl methacrylate resin and the hardener powder.

This primer has many advantages and features such as excellent adhesion to concrete and other building materials.

The most obvious feature of acrylate-based resin flooring products, including BASADUR^® M 101 acrylate primer, is the very high curing speed and, as a result, the very fast installation of these floors. In the case of BASADUR^® M 101 primer, for example, the speed of primer curing is such that about one hour after its application, it will be possible to apply the next layers of acrylate resin flooring.

There are different types of acrylate primer, therefore, according to the conditions of the floor and the type of flooring system needed, the appropriate methyl methacrylate primer should be chosen. In general applications, BASADUR^® M 101 primer is recommended due to its easy application, mechanical properties, and high penetration power.

BASADUR^® M 101 primer has a low viscosity, which makes it able to penetrate porous materials such as concrete, stone, ceramic, mosaic, cement, etc.

By creating a strong bond, this primer is an interface between the substrate and the next layer, and with its excellent penetration power, it penetrates the concrete to a considerable depth and by blocking the voids in the concrete structure, it prevents the escape of water vapor or moisture. existing in the concrete structure prevents it, which will ultimately increase the useful life of the resin flooring system and prevent it from peeling or separating from the concrete.
